Choosing A Childminder

Our over-arching aim and mission with Pebbles Childcare, is not only to provide an exceptionally high quality of childcare on a home-from-home level, enabling us to dedicate ourselves to providing an individual service for all of our children and their families, but also to promote the benefits of being and choosing a childminder as a viable career and childcare option.

We were recently approached by PACEY (Professional Association of Childcare and Early Years) to work with them on an upcoming campaign in collaboration with the Mummy’s Gin Fund Facebook group and organisation on promoting childminding not only as a career but also a childcare choice.

As a result of this, we were visited and interviewed by PACEY and the children were asked about what they enjoyed most about being with a childminder! We had a brilliant morning and the children were fascinated by the camera and watching themselves back too!

Bridgit was interviewed in-depth throughout the day, detailing her experiences of setting up and running a successful home-based childcare provision and how she has coped with various issues and overcome them, not just as a childminder, but as a business woman too.

Monday 20th August 2018 saw ‘Childminder Day’ come to life across all social media channels with the collaboration between Mummy’s Gin Fun and PACEY; and our Pebbles told the story of their childminder memories in their own words.

You can watch the video here:

Keep your eyes peeled over the next few months to see Bridgit’s advice on all things home-based childcare and running your own business.

PACEY are a wealth of advice and resources for both home-based childcare providers and parents alike and so visit their website if you are considering home-based childcare as either a career or a childcare option.
