This week we have celebrated our 3rd Birthday! To celebrate another incredible year and commemorate such an occasion we enjoyed a wonderful (but blustery!) beach party with all of our children and their families.
We feel so lucky to be able to do what we do every day and create such incredible family-like bonds with all of our children and their families and we hope that what we do truly encompasses ‘home-based childcare’ and the family values we have tried to instil from the outset.
This afternoon’s celebrations were a combination of all of our favourite things; the beach, beach-combing, paddling in the sea, digging for treasure, dressing up, noisy toys and cake!
Every year, our parents and families truly help us celebrate in style and we are so lucky to have such an incredible support network around us that really does make all of this possible.
We thought last year couldn’t get any better (or crazier!) but it truly has! The past year has seen us nurture and release our own frogs from tiny frogspawn, another successful butterfly release and 5 of our children are leaving us for Big School this year – where does the time go?!
In addition to this; we have been privileged enough to be recognised and featured in some of the biggest magazines and publications in the sector, worked with PACEY on their new campaign (watch this space for more of this!) and are still completely and utterly overwhelmed to have been shortlisted for ‘Early Years Setting of The Year Award’ at the TES Awards for the second year running, and as a result being invited to Parliament to celebrate! In addition to this, we are still in complete shock at being shortlisted for the upcoming Nursery World 2018 awards in the ‘Childminding Business of The Year’ category.
Everything we’ve achieved since Bridgit launched Pebbles Childcare three years ago has exceeded both of our wildest expectations and we are so grateful to be able to do a job we love every single day and be part of so many incredible children’s lives and watch and support their learning every single day.
We hope that our initial over-riding mission of changing the face of home-based childcare as a viable career and childcare option has been a successful one and our main aims for the next year is to continue to provide exciting, stimulating and hands-on learning experiences for all of our children and continue to fly the flag for the childminding community; whilst having as much fun as possible along the way!
Once again, a huge thank you goes to our incredible cohort of children, their parents, their families and everyone we are lucky enough to meet along the way because without all of you, none of this would be possible.
We are so grateful for the unfaltering, love, support and positivity we receive and we hope you all have as many incredible memories of the past 3 years as we do.
From the bottom of our hearts; thank you.
